ANIMATIONS / VIDEO WORKS
Majoring in Traditional 2D Animation, Ridley Vice has garnered a collection of experimental works using professional industry standard software such as ToonBoom Harmony, Storyboard Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition.
His work showcases an understanding of software, teamwork, passion, storytelling, skill, and intense dedication to his craft. Paired with his understanding of video editing, Ridley is versatile and flexible, willing to take on any job within the industry.

Collaboration project with professional stop motion animator, Zach Moore. I hand-illustrated each element used in the video, such as the pumpkins, tombstones, doors, characters, ghosts, and monsters. This was a fantastic opportunity to show off my skills.
Both animations were done as finals, the first one in Storyboard Pro, and the second one in ToonBoom Harmony. The first animation is a story of 3 kids in a wedding venue trying to get the last cupcake. Both animations were extremely experimental and amazing learning experiences for these programs.
My Digital Childhood is a semi-animated animatic created to experiment with the software Storyboard Pro. This was a major passion project for me as I dug deep within my personal memories and experiences. The sequnecing in this project is meant to be overwhelming, as was the internet in the early 2000s.
The Midnight Movie Run was an animatic project I created my freshman year of college as an experiment with Premiere Pro. I wanted the project to feel like an old 80s-style cartoon on a vhs player. All graphics were hand-illustrated by myself along with the voice acting, audio splicing, effects, script, and writing.
This animation was made as an exercise to understand ToonBoom Harmony, made for easter sunday!
As a tribute to my former boss, I created an animatic in the style of a late-night talk show, showcasing my appreciation for him! The graphics were imported into Adobe Premiere Pro from Procreate, and the Audio was imported from my Nintendo DS, then mixed in Adobe Audition.

As a final for my Alt Strats of Animation class, I created an experimental piece about diverse cultures and subcultures around the world. This piece was created through Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
As a tribute to the Rockafire Explosion Band, I created an experimental video showcasing different clips I had gathered from all corners of the internet. I used this project as an outlet to experiment more with video archiving, splicing, and editing through Premiere Pro
Isabella Do The Dishes is a student-led short film showcasing our abilities for production collaboration. I personally was the cinematographer, editor, color grader, and audio engineer. This project was created using Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
This piece is a conducted experiment of masking within the software Adobe After Effects for my Alt Strats of Animation class. The flowered background pattern was a hand-drawn animation imported from Photoshop into a layer mask, creating heavily striking visuals.

As a tribute to my beloved pet lizard, I created an edit full of archived images and footage of his life in order to honor him. I enjoy the act of compiling clips and images to manipulate specific emotions through the story I am telling. This video edit was created using Premiere Pro.

Band footage and venues are something I've become heavily interested in editing as of late. I scrubbed the internet looking for these specific clips and images, archiving them and splicing them all together. This video edit was created with both Premiere Pro and Capcut.
